I only lose 4 HP from peak to redline...the V+ loses a lot more.

Edit: I'm confused. BRB.

Okay, back. Lost track of what graphs went with which manifold.

I am really liking the power curve of the Kinetix Velocity. I would gladly give up 5hp over a 1K rpm range vs losing over 25hp as you near 7200 rpm. There's a real difference in overall power there and extending the power range like that has great dividends. I can only image that adding cams to an N/A setup would greatly benefit from this smoother flow pattern.

How are these Velocity manifolds performing / holding up under boost?

The Motordye Mrev2 lower plenum appears to help, losing on 15HP from peak to redline.

I took this dyno chart from a well tuned vehicle in this thread:

What I think is unique about this graph though, the peak is closer to 5900-6000 than the other graphs showing around 6200-6300. Wonder why is moved the peak backwards?

^ More than likely a function of whoever was tuning it; and it's a solid tune. It's relatively flat from 5750 - 6250, so "peak" isn't dramatic for him. If you look at the previous run, the peak is where you would expect it.

That makes sense. I guess I would rather a mound of power than a peak...ya.

Yeah, and I guess Kinetix isn't being too helpful in telling the difference between the models. Unfortunately they didn't use serial #s either.

What size is the intake pipe on these things? I think the stock throttle body bolts right up? Does that mean that a larger TB like the 75mm & 80mm is larger in diameter than their pipe?

I was considering building a modified stock intake similar to SG's, but I do like the idea of lower intake temperatures and the drop in weight. Both are considerable amounts.

If I were to build a modified manifold similar to SG's, it would be a design I could have produced here in the DFW area to sell as a Non-Profit item for the community.

The Velocity manifold uses 3" .065 wall pipe to the throttle body flange. This equates to 73mm ID. The ID of the 75mm tb adapter is 73mm, so perfect fit. Sorry for trolling and offering this useless information.

Yeah there's a velocity and a SSV. Don't get the SSV. The velocity manifold wont say SSV on it and only has 3 ports on the back of it.

Well this just delayed my valve cover fix. However Bmurray found me a hella deal that I had to buy. What I paid saved me over 400$. WHich will pay for the NWP 75mm TB. So the dyno will show before with bad oil leak and 4-5 Spark plugs firing with bolt ons and PPEs. THen several several months later No oil new plugs and no md spacer and this manifold. Then the TB. maybe a few pulls on manifold then reutned. Then off with old TB on with 75mm. Maybe 2 runs then retune
