and to ask again, do you really think that plastic can hold up with no support for very long? I just really think that after a while it'll split somewhere in the middle one day when you punch it. how much was it flexing when doing the dynos? I'm asking again because I might do this. I took it off because that post was melting and getting plastic **** in my intake.

I actually just cut it out with my pocket knife. Then sanded it smooth with sand paper. I used 1" wide 80 grit to open up the tb elbow in the plenum. I don't have pics right now but I will snap some next time it's off.

I have been running it with out the post atleast almost a year. I actually don't seem to see as much flex without the post. But if you want to sell yours cheap il but it to cut up and experiment with

Naw, I think I'm going to try this as well. Like I said, I took it off because it was melting and the flexing kind of freaked me out. After looking at more videos I've noticed similar flexing on on Zs. But if you aren't having problems without any support, I will to test it out for myself.

And did you get those pictures of your plenum porting, lower and kinetix?

How did you get your hood to fit right? Mine is flexing in the middle like I'm hitting the plenum, but I can't tell where it's touching?

It's kinda of a messy method. But I covered my plenum with thick liquid wax and shut the hood to see where I needed to trim

Why don't you switch to the Velocity Manifold?

Don't like the velocity. I don't think it's ideal on a all motor application

This, and the kinetix-1/2" spacer duo is cheaper than buying the velocity alone.

And I've seen another thread where the Venturi effect kinetix says happens, won't really happen unless pushing ~10lbs of boost. A guy was considering the velocity for his SC application, and that is what the shop told him.

Driving around today with the plenum on there now, and DAM! Engine almost sounds like a V8 cammed smallblock. I'll definitely need to retune soon because when I gun it the RPMs are sluggish, but I still feel the power coming through strong. Does that mean I'm running lean or rich?

Well haven't gotten a chance to go to the dyno yet, but hopefully soon. Here's a video of what it sounds like on my setup. Sounds a lot more throaty.

I love my new velocity manifold. Going back 4 retune in a few weeks. I can tell a difference simply bc my car doesnt fall flat at 5500. Feels strong all the way to 7k

Well since putting these two together, I can I'm making more torque. Since it's still piggy backing off my current tune, I can definitely feel the difference. It sounds like it hits another level once I get to 5k. But I do need to get tuned soon though. Is it bad I can tell it's running lean by the smell of the exhaust, hahaha.

Hey 2bad240, still no pics of your plenum porting job....just saying.

But got it retuned finally and got amazing gains. Gained another 12hp and 13tq, but haven't gotten the dyno sheets from Z1 yet. Jon took a video of the couple runs, but hasn't posted them to YouTube yet.

However, I will be sending in my plenum for a new one that doesn't have as many stress fractures. Because I don't want those fractures to become full on breaks in a year or so. Watch the very center on the plenum just under the bottom of the hood.

^ Wow, that's crazy how much it flexes like that, even at idle.

I been slacking. Havnt messed with the 350 much since I bought my z32.
But I just ordered cams for the 350 last week and I'm planning a few other upgrades.

TT z32? If so, definitely understandable.

Ya, I started looking at cams recently. I think I might do it toward the end if the year. I've been looking at cam gears too, but I'm going to do some more research to determine their true worth with my setup.

@ NPR, doing a quick on Bing yielded a cable operated TB for the M45. And the othe other TBs that didn't have the cable lever are listed on eBay...confused.
The one on the right-http://ts4.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.6080...=1&p=0&pid=1.7
