Oh oops it's the 2006-2009 tb,forgot to mention that. I originally looked at the q45 in those years before they went dual tb. it was the same as ours. But a search on the mafs led me to the m45 that uses an 80mm maf housing. The then a search on the intakes for them led me to a guy who measured his intake and tb. https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/591519-80-mm-tb.html
And I said on the other page it was 82mm. My mistake it's 80mm.

Big ol thread bump ~~~

I just installed a 5/16th blox spacer under my V+ am quiet happy. The spacer took away the high pitch and rasp I was getting around 3k RPM and also is much deeper at idle/through the whole powerband. I am also running leaner now . I was tuned(Uprev, 2004 350z) for intake/TP/CB.. then installed MREV2 and V+ and reset the cpu..( just some prior info).

I'm busy cutting the hood right now(So much fun). So with the hood spacers I installed I can't have my hood dampers ;( ; there is just not enough room on the screw.

And Thanks for all the help Waldo

I just sent mine off to get a fresh gasket installed, but I was looking at the center tower on it, slight wear. Was thinking of a fender washer on the area it sits over , cause it really does not on s perfectly flat area.

Also for the people running a spacer with it, did you install a spacer under the strethening tower on the manifold, I bet it would help with flex.

I'll get a video of mine later today. When I had just the V+ I had NO flex at all(at least revving in idle lol). I saw that the middle post was melted slightly on mine also so I shaved the broken/mushy part down. Also shaved the neck a bit. I'll be shaving the whole tower next time the plenum is off.

Video~
Two 3k then 5k revs.

Different angle to show the amount of flex for 1/2" spacer with the post shaved on V+. And I'm too afraid to drill through the plenum to install a metal support post.

I thought of the same thing when I was installing mine. Like leaving a small chunk of the post to drill into but I can't help but think of it getting loose and getting sucked in .

I have this on my car when I bought it, makes me think they previous owner was on this site. I dont know what work was done to it, spacer or not. I just see the Kinetix manifold.

Not so much worried about it get sucked in, it can be secured tightly with no concern. The concern would be making sure the hole is drilled properly and there is no leak around the post. If you had a leak, might as well throw the plenum away and start over with a new one.
