I personally like the Godspeed sound... sounds like a Porsche or BMW I6 instead of Chewbacca. But I have heard that true duals with no x-pipe loses power.

True. Because the Z makes better exhaust scavenging going from 2 to one then split. The OEM exhaust is a single with a dual out for example. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

The X pipe brings back the VQ gurgle by merging the two exhaust streams.

But take it a step further and replace the canisters with two Magnaflow round exhaust. You just made a Magnaflow exhaust system for 650-700.

I'm torn on what to do. Wish I could try and dyno both. I've seen dynos of true dual systems that made about the same power as big singles and x-pipe duals. I would bet the true duals would make more power with a tune.

Godspeed also looks like it would sound like *** because it prob has cheap resonators and mufflers. Anyways I am thinking of going with a 3.5" single. Cross sectional area = dual 2.5" but it has about half the pipe surface (less friction). Should help and be nice n light and help things flow. I want to keep the noise mainly from the intake anyway.
