Just got my new exhaust installed. Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler - Resonator removed - Stock tips/location. Its quiet at idle and driving, but beast when you get on it. Let me know what you guys think? Total cost $260 with install.

 

Wow......I didn't know they still made Cherry Bomb mufflers. I had some of them on a car back in the 1960's. Are they still red?

 

Gonna have to hear it in a drive by vid, can't tell **** from just a few small revs.

 

This one is black, not red. But I think their other mufflers are still red. Will try and get a drive by in a few days..

Yea pretty raspy. What size piping? Sounds like 2.25

 

Stock size piping. Its quiet while driving at constant speed (which is awesome), but loud as hell when you get on it.. Yes its raspy when you floor it. Thinking I may have to go with a magnaflow or put in some kind or mid muffler to reduce the rasp. And suggestions?

 

get a real nice exhaust........ by the time you spent all the time and money on this...... might as well get an used exhaust like a AP single if you like loud, or a nismo S-tune. I see people selling a slightly used Tomei single on marketplace for a decent price. I have a MD shockwave v1 and absolutely love it!

 

Doesn't sound like a VQ should. Also the tips are crooked. I would of gotten a replica for that price

 

It's amazing in 2013 there are still people who remove the resonantor n think it sounds cool or improved the car
