If those are just pipes without a resonator they are most likely going to make your Z sound like a honda. That's a good price, but I don't think I would buy them in fear of turning my Z into a fart-mobile.

You can get these for type of pipes cheaper if you go with the Kenetics for $210 or so.

I added the Helix Test Pipes to mine and picked up 6 rwhp and 3 rwt, they cost me $190 from Gruppe S so I guess it was not a bad mod.

The Stillen test pipes are claimed to have a resonator - and if you look closely you can see where it starts. However, it ain't much of a resonator! The diameter of the pipe where the resonator is fitted is only a little bigger than the rest. (at least not compared to the Kenetix version).

The cheaper Kenetix test pipes don't have a resonator. The offer ones with - but these are like $370 (I think).

Can't you guys read? Their Webpage description clearly states that these test pipes have an EXPANSION CHAMBER dosen't say jack about a RESONATOR, it also clearly states that "the combination of STILLEN Headers and Race Pipes yield performance gains of 16 hp at @ 6200 RPM and 20-lb.ft @ 3800 RPM at the wheels"

So what is the rip off? There is definately more to these pipes than just a single diameter bent pipe with flanges welded on.

Calm down Mr Redfoot! You will get high blood pressure!

Yes - I can read and I stand by what I said.

We are talking about exactly the same thing. The inner tube will be perforated and surrounded by an outer tube. This set up will dampen sound and allow scavenging of exhaust gases. Call it a resonator or an expansion chamber , I don't mind

Regards

The difference between the stillen test pipes and others is...

the others are all litterally straight pipes that are mandrel bent... exhaust gasses touble out of the other test pipes and dont gain as much high end power...

the stillens piping varies to control the direction of the exhaust gasses... more high end power out of the stillens then other test pipes...

The Stillen pipes do not have resonators. They have an expansion chamber to aid in clearing the exhaust gasses from the manifolds/headers. There is no inner tube.
