Default Motordyne tdx v2 + what test pipe?

I have a 2003 Z and I'm planning on getting the Motordyne tdx v2 exhaust but I have no idea what test pipes to get. I've heard really good thing about the ART pipes but will that be the best choice for pipes? I don't want it to sound all ricy. I want it to sound exotic but and a nice sound to cruise around with, but when I push down on the gas pedal I want it to roar.

Thanks guys for the feedback, I'll just go with the ART pipes since it's the most recommended by everyone that I've asked today.

Hands down the ART pipes. This video doesn't do the setup justice, but it gives you the best idea of what it'll sound like paired up.

^+1. Don't even hesitate since you're getting the tdx 2 exhaust already, the arts go right with it and you will be glad that you did.

If your biggest concern is sound, go with the ART pipes...but they don't make as much power as standard test pipes. Just depends on what your goals are.

Edit: At least on MY setup they didn't make as much power. Our conclusions were based on the headers causing some type of issue.

Headers and arts don't play well. However art vs test pipe art will have more gains in the low mid

Yeah, I was definitely surprised to discover that ^

Here are my results from the same day dyno test of ART vs Test Pipes. I made more power on my setup with test pipes pretty much across the whole powerband; both torque and hp. Both results below are after tuning.

My setup:

03 DE
06 Airbox w/K&N
Z1 intake tube
Port & Polish OEM plenum
Z1 plenum spacer
Momentum Performance headers
ART Pipes/Test pipes (Only item changed for testing)
Motordyne XYZ w/resonator
Momentum Performance Dual (Now a Tomei Expreme Ti)

I've since switched to the Tomei Expreme Ti single exit and picked up some more power. I'm currently at 275rwhp and 265 rwtq.
