Default Recommendations on a tune

I've got an 05 350z base I've had for a year but finally got to working on over this past winter. I added some basic bolt-ons with a Magnaflow 3" Cat Back, AEM CAI, and Helix Power Tower Throttle Body Spacer. I'm still looking at adding a Motordyne Plenum Spacer in the near future and get the air really flowing.

I've never worked on a 350z before though and am curious on recommendations on when to get a tune and what type? Also curious about the stock injectors and at what point I need to upgrade? Thanks for helping out a 350Z noob.

If I were you at this point of your mods, I would go on UpRev's site, read about how it all works, options and buy a Standard kit; well worth the $500 and get 3 e-tunes with that kit; unlimited after that. After almost 4 yrs. using this kit, I'd highly recommend it, since you are doing intake/exhaust work you want your car running as well as you can get. Good luck with it!

After you get your plenum spacer installed, get an UpRev tune. It'll cost you about $600, and includes the license and some tuning time. If you switch or add mods in the future, shops will charge you an hourly rate to retune the vehicle (if you want a retune).

You can find UpRev tuners at http://www.uprev.com - stock injectors will hold up fine for a while. Only way to tell if you really need to upgrade them is to have the tuner look at your IDC (injector duty cycle) during your tuning session, or to perform some data logging yourself. Constant values about 80 or 90%, you might want to consider switching, but on a DE I doubt you'll reach that point soon.
