My Z has been throwing the P0171 code so I decided on new o2 sensors. Problem is I grabbed upstream sensors instead of downstream. I dont want the hassle of shipping them back then waiting for a refund.
Iv got 2 white 1 gray and a black wire.
Can I just cut the sensor off and splice the wires to the downstream harness or do I need to buy the proper sensor?
I planned on doing both bank 1 and bank 2...

 

Upstream and downstream 02 sensors do completely different tasks so I doubt they are interchangeable. Just do it right and return those for the correct sensors
