What's that coating on it?
Powder coated clear

Exact same flow properties as the previous version?
Probably will have better flow then the original haven't had it on the flow bench yet
Can the plenum be polished eventhough it has been sprayed?
Yes we can polish it or you can have it done yourself
Doug are you accepting trade ins?
We are working on a price for trade ins right now
Do we still need to send you the core? Or is it just $395?
Hi Gurgen we still need a core but we can use your old plenum as the core
Will this fit a G35 without any modification
Yes

Hope this answers most of your questions we did not lower the front of the plenum to fit under the strut bar. When we did the flow bench test on the original and lowered the front enough to fit under the bar it compromised flow to the front 2 cylinders so we left the front the same

Will the engine cover on a G35 fit w/o rubbing the hood?

We did leave the front height the same so I think it will fit but as others have said before it is close to the hood. We think this is a better looking piece so maybe you won't want to put the plastic cover back on. We also have a little surprise comming next week to even make it better looking.

Nice job Doug waiting on the flow bench, guess I will get in on the questions.

Are Night Terrors and Sleep Paralaysis real or a dream?

Will the sun send out bad waves of spots etc in 2012?

Has the Anti Christ been born yet? Is he mean?

Do I still need to put the bolt on the inside for it to idle right

Max (on his second or third plenum and just joking, it's gotta rock it's a Crawford. Can you make a Blue Powder Coat or maybe HOT PINK

Max's first call to Doug!

I remember talking to Doug that day telling me some new guy Max called from Cali and said his car wouldn't idle!

Amazing we can admit we already have memories.

Looking good guys! This is fun watching the Z products evolve...sort of like watching a tadpole grow legs and lose its tail. This is exactly the sort of thing that makes me glad I chose this car. Lots of products and die-hard enthusiasts making them work better and better.

hey ritt,

how much did you get for your type R?

Doug,

I forgot to ask you in our last conversation. Do you have any idea/remember how much you had to lower the top of the plenum to clear the strut tower brace?

Dan

I sold it for $17.5ish if I remember correctly (sold in northern NJ). It was a 98 with around 55-60k miles. I bought it for $21 in 99 with 14k miles on it and a few mods...absolutely pristine when I got it (I took great care of it too). Damn, that was a great car...I still smile when I think abouit it.

I like the Z better though...going back to FWD is probably an impossibility at this point...especially since I now live in a place where it never snows and hardly rains.

LOL,

Tis so true... Amazing that I can say "the good ol days" relating to my Z already. Mind blowing actually that Y2K was 4 years ago! Think about it!

That mechanic that was here when I called you turns out had some lets say issues, he actually is banned from my property.
Sad story, anyway....

I have a new mechanic, he is very good and works for Red Bull. If I could just get him to change his taste in music it could benefit both of us. (That ain't gonna happen.)

Notice how since switching mechanics I haven't had to call you anymore? EJ is my new mechanic, a board member here. He installed the third one in 30 minutes and I was like, um it's idling normal lol how come?

Wanna go in the way back machine?

That is the original, it was like your #6 sold here on the board I think. It is still alive on the East Coast on a Z running N20 because I had tapped it for the N20 jets already. It still lives on here on this board owned by a member who is snowed in.

Here is the latest one. I am partial too it, it oozes power to me, I guess I am just a "bling" kinda guy when it comes to my engine, just performance, that's all that matters and yours delivers!

Keep em cranking out man!

Dan [/B][/QUOTE]

We would have had to lower the ft 4 inches of the plenum down to the stock height were on our plenum we raise it an inch in that area . We could do it that way but it would still shroud the ft 2 cylinders severely and limit performance

Baaaaahhhh this sucks!!! I have the Crawford plenum right now and never cared for the looks.. Now you come out with this which looks 100X better!!! I am VERY interested in this but what am I going to do with my old 1? When will you have a trade in price? I can see trading in my old one and give you like 200$. I just dont want to spend another 400$ and get stuck with a usless part. Anyone else feeling this?

This "new" plenum is nice! Do you guys think there is any way to redesign a whole new plenum away from the factory design? *I'm referring to plenum designs such as the JUN one...or is the JUN one only good for turbo setups? I love to hear what you guys have to say. Thx! Overall, this plenum is nice!
