Man i can't wait to see how your custom exhuast turns out. I keep checking the thread hoping there are some pics ... lol
Haha thanks for following it man, it'll prob be another couple weeks tho. I'll be sure to update it as it's happening. Hopefully soon, Im super excited
With so many straight bolt on exhausts around, why bother, spend more, take longer and with all those twists & turns, I'm sure performance will suffer.

To be honest I'm doing it for something unique and for the sound. The differences in performance will be minimal and I'm not too worried about that anyways. I've seen first hand what this guy can do and his work, the sound, and the quality are awesome

Alittle update: my car will be going in next Sunday to be done. I changed things alittle bit, it'll be a 3" dual with an x pipe and quad exit with the bumper tuck. It'll have two air powered valves controlled by a key fob. When opened it'll run dual straight pipe out the outer two tips and when closed it'll be diverted to a small 2.5" pipe through a muffler to quiet it down and exit the inner two tips. Should be done in a couple weeks. And he's gonna keep my car a couple days longer to make a replica of the exhaust so since he's doing that, he's only gonna charge me for parts which will be like 1000-1100

Well I'll have a wireless key fob so I could open it up at any rpms to have it go straight pipe
The switch on demand is much better than opening at 4k.
Sometimes you'd like to just blast the car and sometimes you'd like to be able to overtake on the highway without going full derp. Window switches aren't all that awesome IMHO...
Yeah my brother has 4in midpipe on his m3 and it's very loud. Sounds great IMO tho
Lol yeah it definitely opens up the sound. My car has a little race muffler and all aluminum 4" section. I'll upload a pic, I'm actually taking the exhaust side off today lol.

Yeah I'm really excited about it. Just to be able cruise with a nice sporty rumble and then open it up for some fun and be really loud. And yeah let's see some pics.

Sorry that I haven't updated this in so long. We ran into a big delay, something came up in the guys life that pushed everything back. Anyways he just began today and should be done by this weekend/early next week. Here's the mufflers that he made, more to come soon.

Progress so far- it's done up until the xpipe which is under that rusted cross brace. Gonna take the brace off and get it sand blasted. Tomorrow the mufflers will go on along with the piping out to the tips. Then the tips and bumper tuck will be done. Will be done in the next couple days and then will get some sound clips and finished pics up
