Default Custom exhaust being made

Super excited about this so thought id share this with the Z community. Im having a local fabricator who did my brothers M3 exhaust do one for me. It's going to be headers back either 3 or 3.5 inch. It'll go 2 to 1 that'll lead into something similar to this except made for my 350z instead of a M3. I'll do a bumper tuck so everything can be seen and so there's room for the quad tips

Here's a pic of the finished work on my brothers. Guy does awesome work and sounds unbelievable. Nice loud, throaty, deep rumble similar to a v8 instead of that annoying rasp. He did this on my brothers about 2 years ago, mine will be done in about a month. Should be very loud

Well I haven't decided if I'm going to have him do an electric cut out valve or not yet. If I have him do one it'll be around 1700, without one around 1250-1300

Yeah I'm not sure yet. It would be for the sound aspect more than anything since I daily drive. It would be placed on the axle back portion. When opened it would make it so it's as loud as possible. And when closed it would run through an extra muffler and be alittle quieter. It could also be partially opened for different volumes if that makes sense. Either way the exhaust would run out the tips in the back. Still up in the air on it tho

Mine has race pipes and sounds like a jgtc car, same results you'd get from the cutout.

Appreciate the video clips. This is not how it would look but this would be a similar design. When opened it would run straight pipes and when closed it would run through muffler quieting it

That's the same design he'll be doing for me except for the Z instead of bmw obviously. It'll be that design but the welding will look like the first pic I posted

I barely run my E-Cutout open in my FI 350z with a stock exhaust. It's quite annoying

You just need some dynamat and a good system. I think the only reason why my z's drone doesn't bother me is I'm used to an open header chevelle

Yeah I don't mind it, I grew up hearing my dad's pro street camaro and nova so anything my Z will put out will always be quiet compared to that haha

Haha yeah I agree, when it's done right and nice it's worth it for sure. And since my brother is good friends with him I was able to get him down to around 1100 w/o cutout single muffler or 1400 with cutout single muffler. I'm gonna do 3.5 inch I think. My brothers is 3 to 3.5 to 4 with 6" tips I believe, one of the most unique sounds I've ever heard on an m3 and ridiculously loud. Hoping for something different with my car as well Edit: also tried to pm you with a question but inbox is full
