That really far back merge like that allegedly kills throttle response. Hope you dont experience that. Looks like quality work.

Hmm idk hopefully not. The x-pipe is mainly just for sound purposes though. And yeah it's really high quality. Here's some welds on the x pipe and 3D printed wireless key fob for opening and closing the valves.

Here's some more progress with mufflers and bumper tuck. Going to get sound clips tonight on it when it's opened up. Valves to go in tomorrow and then will have sound clips of when opened and closed

No offense but I have to laugh at throttle response loss on a street NA 350z. Not only would you not notice it, but it would be minimal. With an oem flywheel, stock engine, stock cams etc, I really doubt the difference would be noticable, especially on a street trim car. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Thanks guys, unfortunately wasn't able to make it over there today but its all done! Here's some of the finalized pics. The valves are right there on the muffler. When opened up it'll be pretty much straight piped with just a perforated mesh inside the muffler to tame the rasp. And then when closed it'll divert the flow to the outer two tips quieting it down. He said opened loudness wise a 10/10 and when closed it's about 5or6/10 which is perfect

No offensive but that was the most retarded comment on throttle response ive ever seen in my life.

Prove me wrong.

You'd more than get that throttle response "back" by switching to lighter wheels, crankshaft etc.

An X pipe doesn't cause back pressure, especially with the diameters being used, I doubt it would change laminar flow values to be ANYTHING significant on a sub 300hp V6. And that far down the exhaust? The temperatures drop significantly, so gains are reduced and so are losses. The speed of the air is dropped so much I don't understand how anyone could think otherwise.

With all the rotating mass in a vq35 (like the clutch flywheel), the overall weight, the mass most people have for wheels, on a street car, and for street use, throttle response is a stupid thing to be concerned about. At least in this case where I'd bet you wouldn't loose throttle response at all. Maybe if this was a touring car or something, where every mili second counts, every bit of scavenging is needed, and you're RACING.

Sounds clips to come tomorrow hopefully. Picked it up just now and love how it sounds. If you wanna check out my insta @vbuems that's where the clips will be first before I figure out how to get them up here. Will be having some one who is skilled with a camera take the videos not myself
