That actually looks like a good deal. But what's the difference other then looks of single canister muffler and dual exhaust?
On a naturally aspirated engine the differences in performance will be negligible. I just think the Z sounds a whole lot better with a single muffler. (On the cheap exhausts anyway) They don't seem to rasp nearly as much as the straight through style mufflers on the Ebay jobs.
LMAO let me tell you personally because i was given this exhaust with the purchase of my car, it is not worth your time or effort installing. wait another 1 or 2 paychecks and save a little more money then do yourself a favor and install something worth while. if youre not convinced, let me know and i will be glad to send you an audio file of my exhaust at 6800 rpms WITH LONGTUBE HEADERS AND NO CATS, only then perhaps will you truly be convinced. but if you have an affinity for wasting money? fire away my friend. fire away.
If your on a budget just buy quality parts for your exhaust by components muffler,x-pipe,y-pipe,hfc,ect. and you can build a quality exhaust on your own time and budget.
I have an HKS replica on my 03' Z as well. I have the X02 True Dual HKS Replica, supposedly the top quality exhaust of all the other HKS replicas fabricated out there. Stainless Steel true duals all the way to the headers, x pipe, w/ resonators, dual cats, and mufflers. Honestly, it doesn't sound all that bad. I am content with it. However, I have heard better sounding exhausts. I'm currently looking at the Bassani True Duals right now, as it maintains that distinct Z/G exhaust note. Not sure which HKS clone you may have bought or are looking at, but here's what the X02 replica will sound like on your Z...
Dude I have the hks rep ran against my kinetix test pipes and it's pure awesomeness. The car got a lot faster and it sounds amazing. Anyone telling you how bad it's going to sound probably haven't heard it. Ran against lots of other people's z's and lots of them liked my sound more

it barely got any faster.... i would say under 5 hp
just save up some more money whats the rush? Bought my Bassani system new last year after saving up and selling some stuff and i don't regret it one single bit. Who knows a good deal might pop up while your saving up. Just my .02
So searching thru craigslist I came thru this injen exhaust for 350z. The seller is selling it for his buddy because his buddy is over seas. The exhaust seems in good condition but the right side muffler has a pretty big dent and lots of scratches. Would that be repairable? He was originally asking 300 for it but I got it down to 250. Is it worth it to buy it or should I pass it? I have included the pictures.
If you can make new threads to ask the same question twice, you should be handy enough to Google what power this exhaust makes and if you like the sound.
If you want to save some money to buy a busted up exhaust- do it.

That's why I wanted to ask if it was worth it for the condition it is not if it is a good exhaust.
^^^ You'd be a fool to not only spend money on that exhaust but to then go and put that on your car. It looks like the previous owner tied a rope around it and dragged it down the highway. And that's the old version of the Injen dual exhaust with no H-pipe, 50mm piping and 4" tips. That exhaust sounds like crap.
Why do you need to replace your OEM exhaust so bad? Don't change it just for the sake of changing it. If you're gonna go aftermarket, save up until you can do it right so that it's not a downgrade.
