the Y-Ti expreme mid pipe will be here Mon-Tue next week

excited for moving forward literally toward the front

wonder if it will affect the sound over the OEM Y-pipe? anyone ?

It absolutely will. It will give the whole system a deeper tone, and the merging on that ypipe will probably give it a bit of rasp. How quickly that ypipe merges will also change the tone compared to other ypipes, as well as the material will make it have a different tone. The standing waves should resonate the material a bit differently

My expreme should be here soon as well.

IMHO TB might not be worth it on a DE. Maybe a rev up, where you can rev higher. But a DE shouldn't be taken much past 7k anyway.

A true CAI might get you some power? If I were you though I'd get a plenum spacer, testpipes/headers and a tune over everything else. If you want to go crazy on the intake, buy a methanol injection system. Pick a kit that can run 100% meth and then have the car tuned on it. It will definitely pickup power

Where is the redline on your tach? If the little line starts at 7 you have a rev up, if it starts between 6 and 7 thousand, you have a regular DE. The rev up has more aggressive cams, and a better oil pump, so it can rev higher and will make more power up top.

Either way, the TB upgrades aren't cheap. For the money you could have a good reflash that could make more power. If you have a 5 speed, I think uprev can increase your transmission line pressure, so you should be able to get quicker firmer shifts... Which believe it or not actually helps the life of the clutch packs

If you have a AT which I am assuming since you said you have a 5 speed, then you have a DE. Rev Up was only on the 6 speed.

Nice you have a rev-up. If you put in a lower manifold from a DE, maybe a plenum spacer and a reflash (500$ for all if you do it right) you should see some nice gains with your exhaust. Throw in some test pipes and you're set. I have a DE lower plenum if you're interested. I can give you a good deal

KEWL

Mid Ti Y-pipe is arriving Mon-Tue install that Wed, I have a new in box K & N drop in filter as well put that in same time

Decided on the Ti cat delete over their SS test pipes so i will get that ordered

then i can make a decision on what exactly i am doing intake wise after the above

I will keep your offer in mind , but i may have a DE lower plenum available need to check LYK

any spacer stand out or all the same ? want to keep my strut bar

Spacers shouldn't make a difference really. 1/2" will get a bit higher end power but the 3/8" is usually preferred. Good manufactures include spacers for your strut bar (motordyne). There are options like isothermal which "help" but if you ask me aren't worth the extra $. You're just reducing the transference rate from the lower plenum to the upper... But the upper isn't what heats the air up. The lower is.

Motordyne is a good choice. I'd reccomend that, I liked mine. Clean kit. Easy to put in. Good gains on na. Then look around for a reflash. Motordyne also has an mrev2 which is a De lower plenum machined about 5-6mm and ported. Buy mine for under a 100$ and get it machined instead :P

if i had a term lab is could give you a decibel reading

so to put a number to it is something i am not able to do

I have not had it on the expressway , so can't give you a drone report

only had it up to 55 ish

but my car has 144 sq feet of Stinger Roadkill in it so it will not sound like it does in another Z

it is extremely well insulted

sorry i can't give you something more solid to go on
