Default ***Official Greddy Exhaust Picture/Chat Thread***

i wanted to start a thread where people could post pictures and their experiences with all the different exhausts that greddy makes. Attached is a picture of my greddy ti-c turbo true dual. i have it paired with Crawford HFC's and DC headers. the passenger side tubing is very close to the rear sway bar. probalby less than 5mm clearance. anyone else having that issue?

very quiet compared to my old set up: JIC Spartan ST, non resonated midpipe, JIC Y pipe, and test pipes.

it's a crappy iphone pic but i'll snap some better ones with my dslr later today.

Default Help: Greddy SP2 muffler to Mid-pipe gasket?

For those that have installed an aftermarket muffler to the OEM mid-pipe, what gasket did you use?

Will the OEM Nissan O-ring (part #20691) work?

http://www.courtesyparts.com/350z-pa...5_736_737.html

Or will i need something else?

PS: The reason i'm asking about the gasket is I used an old o-ring gasket to install my greddy sp2 just now and noticed a few things. Primarily, the sp2 exhaust was not as loud and didn't sound like the clips i've seen on youtube. It seemed like there was more exhaust sound coming from the front front of the car than the rear. Secondly, i notice that water was leaking/dripping from the connection btw the muffler and the mid-pipe (so there must be a leak).

-Thanks in advance

Too many variables.

Well i've done some research and i've narrowed it down to two gaskets:

Aftermarket greddy 60mm Oval gasket: http://www.kidimports.com/exhaust/ga...78.asp?ref=frg

OR

OEM Nissan O-ring (part #20691)

Anyone with experience know which of these would be better?

-Thanks again

well just wanted to update everyone. Went to dealer today and got the OEM o-ring gasket and installed it. I can still see some water dripping in the connection btw the mid-pipe and the muffler, but it's less than before. At this point i don't think i'm going to do anymore work. The Greddy SP2 exhaust on a stock 350z was not as aggressive sounding as i thought it would be. I guess if I want a more exhaust sound i'll have to upgrade from the stock y-pipe.

thanks to everyone for their advice.

Greddy EVO TT - Nice DEEP V8 sound. High RPMs sound VERRRRRRY nice. Low RPM - The drone was there. The drone on the roadster is actually LESS loud than on a coupe. I swapped my EVO TT on to a coupe and it sounds louder. I am figuring since the tonneau separates the cabin & trunk in the roadster...less vibrations go through. In the coupe...nothing separate the cabin and the trunk - so you will hear the drone more.

Greddy Spectrum Elite - Nice stock sound. I actually here a difference between the SE and the Stock exhaust. The SE is just a tad bit deeper. Others cannot seem to notice the difference. I like the stock sound better. There is just a little difference - yet I can hear it and other's can't.

Fan of Greddy??? Not much....Fan of burnt exhaust Tips??? Yes. BEST exhaust? STOCK. Save your bread - get some head.

The drone on the evoTT is terrible. There have been very few choices for FI though, so I didn't really have a choice. The Motordyne Shockwave v2 TDX is the ticket though - no drone, after 2 years, finally!

I had an issue with my piping actually rubbing but it was on the driver's side, and instead of the sway bar, it was rubbing on the diff houseing. Just that little extra angle piece of meat on the housing, so I took an angle grinder and grinding just enough off so that it wouldn't rub anymore. It was so annoying, at idle my car would cling cling cling like an old 80's sounding exhaust system hahaha but all fixed now.

I just bough BERK HFC's so I'll post up a vid of how those sound paired together once I get them on!
