Single can baffle rattle
So I have this exhaust from DC Sports.

It's decent sound being not too loud, not a lot of drone at cruising speeds... I like it. Here's my problem: It appears that the baffles in the muffler have broken inside there somehow (or at least come loose) and its rattling up against the inside wall of the muffler. It rattles at idle when its cold and just intermittently throughout the rpms though at the same ranges each time.
Every muffler shop in town says that they won't cut into it and re-weld the baffle because the integrity of the metal would be seriously compromised once they put everything back together. Also, apparently it wouldn't be worth the cost in labor.
I really don't want to spend another $600 on buying the whole system again, especially since the same kind of failure could happen again to the new system. I may just have a bad apple, but maybe not. Anyways, my idea is to just remove the muffler and weld on universal mufflers to the 2 now open ends of the exhaust. Maybe some of these?

Consulting the forums. Thoughts? I'd be grateful.

Its common with any exhaust and more so with cheap exhausts. Yes dc sports is cheap low grade. Best bet is a universal muffler canister from hks or another reputable company. Youll know quality is there and less likely to come apart. Cut off the old weld up the new. Out the door for 50 bucks plus the cost of muffler. Good luck
Thanks for the feedback. Yea I guess the piping is all good still, just the muffler was subpar. I wonder if it'd be noticeably louder with smaller mufflers welded on as opposed to one big single can with dual exits like it came with.
If you want to keep dual then measure your mufflers then source mufflers that have or are close to that size.
