Came across a mechanic who wants to sell me the Kinetix Plenum / High Flow Cat PACKAGE for about $100. Is it worth the money and also should I get its in pretty good condition?

 

If the gasket is not in new condition, don't get it. Kinetix does not sell the gasket separately, and charges over 100 to replace it, when you mail it in.

 

Its worth the $100 regardless, its like a $600 package normally, the plenum is definitely worth it even if you need to send it in for the new gasket... The only thing I didnt like about it was plugging the holes in the lower plenum with some allen bolts.

Dayam, a hundred bucks?? Who'd he steal that from? Heck, that's low enough to make even my cheapa$$ want to buy it all and ignore all of our smog laws here in CA....

but add in a tune and that hundred bucks is nothing.

Permatex 1 minute gasket for the plenum. . . so like $15 for a gasket.
I did that and works fine on my turbo Z
