Default Is the upgrade worth it?

I have an 07 Nismo. Have plans to eventually install Stillen SC. Right now I have the stock Nismo exhaust but I'm not the biggest fan of what sound I get out of it. But here's where I am getting hung up.

I wanted to know what kind of gain I would expect by this swap/upgrade: Injen SES 1987TT True Dual.

It's a $1k-$1,200 investment on my end for what I'm hoping will be a distinctively different, aggressive growl across the spectrum. BUT I don't have much interest in getting a better idle and startup sound if I wouldn't expect anything outside of that.

I would likely be throwing on some long tubes at the same time. I don't have any questions about this aspect.

And I'm also curious if the Nismo vs. Injen CAI would be any different at all. Sort of the same concern in regards to the exhaust.

I tried searching many different ways to find a thread about this in particular and didn't see read anything to answer my questions. So if I missed it I apologize. Thanks for any insight.

Buy it for the change in sound and/or appearance, not a change in real performance.
