Default Motordyne TDX V2 vs Tomei Expreme Titanium

I have currently a Motordyne TDX V2 exhaust with PPE LTH's. It's pretty damn loud and im currently keeping it N/A and heading down that route.

What i was wondering is what the sound level would be like with the Tomei mounted to the PPE LTH's? Are they quieter or louder?

Don't know if any of you out there have had experience with both exhausts mounted to PPE's.

Haven't had long tubes, but the Tomei will be loud! Most likely louder than the MotorDyne by a bit.

Everything ive read is pointing to Tomei isone of the loudest exhausts foe the car. Now combine that with LTH's and will be crazy.

Thanks for the input.

Hmm, i have done as much research as i can and it think from what i've seen from others who have just the exhausts alone they are fairly the same in terms of dB.

Hope some other can still chime in though.

I've had the tomei with oem cats and xyz resonated y pipe. it's about as loud as my wife's g37 with art pipes and tdx 2.
the tdx 2 is controllable with throttle and had no drone. while the tomei is uncontrollable after 3k rpm and drones everywhere and its loud loud loud even with oem cats and xyz it's loud. I loved it but was paranoid driving at night and going.past 3k rpms so I sold it. my buddy had art and tdx2 on his g35 and I hear him a block away everyday as hes my neighbor. he drives conservative but I still hear him. so really they're both super loud but the tdx doesn't drone and is controlled with throttle more than tomei. good luck

I have a HR with stock headers, Berk test pipes, Tomei Y-pipe, and Tomei muffler...below 2500 RPMs is tolerable, 3K and above it screams. It's loud ASF!

Thanks for the extra experiences guys. Has helped greatly.

As nizmo_0385 said and what Infamour_Z has also confirmed that i think the Tomei and Motordyne in terms of noise are pretty much the same but from the experiences on here the Motordyne is much more manageable.

I think i'll stick with the Motordyne for now. Problem at the moment i'm getting very little back pressure because of so much room to fill. But hopefully with the mods on the way over the next few months i might be able to utilize the Motordyne more effectively.

We shall see, otherwise i'll be heading for a Tomei to extract the most out of the engine.

Was not satisfied with the look till I got my Tomie. I love the single exit!

I was happy with the noises after the resonated Y pipe. Still want long tubes though

Sorry, you are correct Conway_160 its my exhaust velocity that is suffering at the moment. Not back pressure.

Thanks for the input HRMoneyPit. I have been researching the resonated pipe for Motordyne, as i can get this and the Tomei instead of having to buy the whole thing again. So makes it cheaper.

I also have just seen a post by Rubidium (sp?) he supposedly had both and said the Tomei is louder though he loved it too. He had the Motorydyne Y pipe with resonator and Tomei exhaust and he also had a Motordyne TDX2.

I am now being swayed back onto the Tomei lol

I picked my exhaust off looks really. Titanium, 14 lbs and single

Didn't like the rasp with my art pipes and stock you pipe

Once I got the Y pipe I have not touched the exhaust since and then got tuned
