Default Anyone flow bench all the cats yet?

I've seen a set of RTs vs. Test Pipes vs. Stock, was all set to get the RTs... but with recent developments (customer service, alleged rattle when combined with Borla, etc.) I have decided to look elsewhere. Test pipes are out due to fuel smell... with a Roady it would be horrible.

So I'm curious if there is a flow bench of RT, Kinetix, Crawford, tests, and stock.

Tecnosquare flowed ours vs RT. We are waiting to get the graphs back, but they said our flowed just a little less. Which is to be expected.

I'm putting on my RT cats this weekend. I also have a Borla exhaust and pop-charger. I'm hoping for no raspyness...If there is I'll go back to stock. But so far, I've only read 1 person that has had problems with the borla and RT combo. Everyone else has praised it.

I'll post my opinions next week, along with a vid of the sound comparing the two. Until then...

You may also consider that people are claiming that their RT cats are causing a lean condition. I have also read that the RT cats are more raspy then the crawfords. I suppose the RT cats are pretty darn close to being test pipes.

There was a rather large thread on this not to long ago.

Although I do not know if it is really true or not....

Crawfords my Choice.

Cool. I am assuming we have a similar graph but only between RT and ours. I have not seen it yet . . .but I do know they flowed less than the RT's. So figure them to be somewhere in between Stock and RT, but hopefully closer to RT than stock . I would assume the other vendors would be right there with us as we probably use the same cat manufacturer. From there I suppose it is fit, finish, and price that will appeal to the consumer.

I can't speak for others, but I can honestly state that my Borla / RT cat combination is definately not raspy. I think the sound produced by this combo is excelent. Not too loud when just cruising and very powerful sounding at WOT.

As Adam was saying here are the graphs from Techosquare. They were kind enough to flow the samples provided to them.

*Note: Measure with 20 inches of H20
1 = close throttle, 6 = Wide open throttle.

Adam is working on getting some updated pictures of our cats. I think all we have ever shown were the first sets as we cant keep them in stock long enough to get pictures .

So Crawford uses Carsound cats also? If thats the case, then why don't you guys advertise them as "CARB Approved" since carsound cats are CARB approved.

Sweet.. Good to know.I can see how the RT's can be raspy or have a slight buzz as they are that close to straight pipe. So im glad I went with the Crawford's. Cant wait to get them!!!

I'll be at Kinetix with my crew next week. I'll see if I can borrow a cat to be tested and added to the graph by T/S. Didn't I read somewhere that they are using Carsound cats as well?
