Default JWT Pop Charger installation

I tried Performance Nissan Parts but thats for a G35.

Any instructions for the 350Z? I heard you had to drill 2 holes? Is that true?

Thanks for any help. A step-by-step with pictures would be nice.

I tried the search but couldn't find any on the 350Z.

You don't need to drill the holes. I did and, it's a little difficult due to the angle unless you use a power drill. Installation instructions come with the popcharger. It takes about 20-30 minutes and can be done by a novice.

Haha.. I would get one of those too!

I still can't get over how many compliments my Z got with the Pop Charger and Nismo exhaust combo.

I had fun at the Auto X - Nice meeting you Purevil!

Yeah, it was definately the best sounding out there. I ordered it as soon as I got home.

Nice meeting you and your fiance. She had some good lap times out there, not to rub it in, if you know what I mean, hehe!

Did the popcharger make that much of a difference in the sound of the engine/exhaust?

Not a super drastic difference, but the exhaust note on my car is a little more "robust"

The sound was amazing. He did have a Nismo exhaust though, however I have heard the Popcharger before with the OEM exhaust and the sound above 3K RPM is amazing. Plus it gives an additional 6.5 HP from what I have read.

I'll let you know how it sounds when I get it installed. I have the OEM exhaust, the pop charger will be the only engine mod I have done so far.

What about in the RPM's above 3-4K?

The sound I heard sounded the best above those RPM ranges, especially during WOT.

Actually you can just poke holes in the stock air guide. The tricky part is eyeballin it to align them.

I only did one myself. It secures (screw) the shield to the air-inlet. Instructions have pics.

They're talking about poking holes in the black, plastic inlet that goes from the engine compartment to the front bumper. It's right infront of the stock air box. The holes (x2) are used to connect the metal heat shield.

You can poke holes if you have a very sharp punch. I found drilling the two holes much easier.

Check out the link below. It's the installation instructions you should receive with your package.

what i do to put holes in that air dam is take a nail, press hard and it will make an indentation... and then push hard while screwing the tap screw and the threads will eventually catch...

I will be doing a step by step guide for the Z when I install on my Z later this week...

I got to hear my Z go around the track when I watched my fiancee drive, nothing sounded like it. I received compliments from everyone, including the announcers over the PA. There were other Z's out there, but the sound wasn't even close. Out of 147 racers, everyone was saying my car sounded the best! I was very happy!!! I raced the car with only 1100 miles on it...... so I guess its broken now!
