someone please tell me how I can verify If Is an O2 or is it a leak at manifold
UPDATE
The purpose of this post is to verify whether or not I have a leak at the manifold. I'm getting the car tuned but I have to make sure all the AF problems are fixed I suspect I my have a leak at the manifold.
Ok, so bare with me as I am a female. I do the majority of the work on my 07'(her name is Mia Wallace). So I've had this car for 7 years. I've already been through the slave cylinder problems 3 clutches( jwt, spec, now back to stock with dual mass flywheel and upgraded s.s.slave).Cold air intake, nismo exhaust, replaced transmission, bilstein shocks and struts, pretty much everything but the engine and the rear end. I have 211,000 miles and runs great still, except for the SOB PROBLEM I've been having since day 1 of buying Mia. So, here we go ......
At some point in all this my cat's became clogged and at this point in time money being a factor and having a piece of s*** boyfriend that thought he was a mechanic convince me to knock out the cats, which I did. Got O2 simulators from Magnum tuning, which I did. The problem with that is they were never wired in correctly and by the time I figured this out one of them had broke already. So I've been throwing these codes for a long time pointing to the O2 sensors.
I do realize now had I known all this I would have just went with replacing the cats. The reason why I don't do that now is because I have put test pipes on and had them welded in to the original exhaust just cut right before the flex of oem exhaust. Now that I'm a little smarter at taking advice I've decided to try to tackle this issue again and get it fixed for good.
SO I started off with taking out the Magnum tuning O2 simulators that were never wired correctly. All of my O2 sensors at this point upstream and downstream are brand new. I have spark plug fouler's on the two downstream drilled out stacked 2 high. As of now O2s are reading as follows.
B1 S1 .4v -------B2 S1 .9v
B1 S2 .3v--------B2 S2 .3v
And I just swapped the upstream AF sensor with one another to see if there was a change and there was not. I haven't driven it long enough 4 a code to throw yet but before the switch I was throwing a P0420 since I've had this code problem for so long even before the cats where knocked out. It was throwing different codes back then but all still relevant to the AF system. So since I'm not really mechanically inclined I do my best but am confused about just how to tell whether or not this is an O2 problem or if this is something before the O2s upstream I'm referring to. So I'll stop here and will post codes when thrown as they will they always do I can't seem to pin point the problem. Link to OBD stats
