Default OEM intake tube modification

Long story short I have a Oem intake tube with a JWT Pop charger on it.. I decided to to get a Z1 75mm throttle body upgrade kit. I noticed the couplings won't fit around the oe tube because of the lip on the OE tube. I was wondering could I use a dremel to smooth it down and fit the couplings on the oem tube?

Are you the person I've been talking to on Reddit?
Best compromise is Mishimoto hose, but ideally you want a bigger intake which means custom.

Don't force the OEM tube and don't modify the aluminum port on the throttle body. Just get an adapter or purchase a whole new tube as Dark suggested. I have the Mishimoto tube and it will fit over a 75mm TB, but I've read that it's not easy to make it stretch to fit. I would get one purpose built for the 75mm to avoid the hassle/struggle.
Cheers!

It's not bad but it has to be a Mishimoto, other brands won't work.
This is a 75mm ID MAF housing and it went over it fine, same basic size as the TB, unfortunately there is no P&P kits for the 75mm TBs you need to make due with what's available or go custom.

Understood.. i.was not going to modify the throttle body.. just the OE Tube.. basically just thought about using a dremel to file down the lip of the tube on the throttle body side so the Coupler i got with the kit would fit ... that's all i.was going to do

What's the point of using a bigger TB if the pipe in front of it is smaller?

OHHHHH seen never thought about that! It would be like breathing through a McDonald's coffee straw vs a Boba tea straw. The small intake tube would be restrictive thus not getting maximum air flow to work correctly with the upgraded throttle body. That makes total sense add the right parts for better results. Just cant halfass this and expect the best result .. Do it right the first time.. thank you folks
