Default LBMS test pipes w/ resonator

I just spoke tp Labree motosports in Canoga, CA and they are currently offering testpipes w/ resonators for the Z. Apparently, the "raspiness" that everyone complains about with aftermarket test pipes is elimanated with the resonators and there are also incredible gains as well. They dynoed a Z with only a Borla TD ehaust and injen intake and got 237 whp. They then added the labree test pipes w/ resonators and dynoed 251 whp. Thats a 14whp gain!! The guy told me that with the test pipes the car is much louder but not in any way annoying. No raspiness, just a loud exotic deep rumble, the sound everyone is looking for. So if you have been considering the RT cats, or the crawford highflow cats, please take at these instead. Im guessing they wont pass emissions, but how hard is it to just put the stock cats back on when emissions time comes? An alternative would be labree's highflow cats which gained 8whp from 237whp to 245.5whp. These too, have no raspiness and have a nice gain. Prices are below those of RT's cats. The test pipes are also made to order. So if your looking to replace the stock catalytic converters, check out labree motorsports. www.labreemotorsports.com

I can vouch for the above. The only way I would consider testpipes are with resonators as it seems to be the only way to eliminate the painfully annoying rasp otherwise associated with testpipes.

Labree is outstanding and has my full recommendation.

Labree is an excellent shop. I have their cats and had them install them. Very nice work and the cats feel and sound great.

Do a search using my name and LaBree as the qualifier. I did a detailed review on this product including pictures.

The work quality is exceptional. This is custom hand made stuff, it doesn't get better. Yes, it's pricy but the quality makes the cost understandable.

I would go far as to say these testpipes are the best available on the market and you get what you pay for.

IMHO, the sound difference and power gain justify the price.

Their whole y-pipe is awesome! Looks like from the headers back w/resonators and no cats.
