Default finished header install!!

hey just got done finishing my headers today. man they were a pain. for those who are thinking about doing it yourself its not that hard with the right tools. it took me and my friend about 4 1/2 hours to do it. ill let you know my impressions after we finish topping off the antifreeze.

Sweet.

I am doing my Crawford headers in a week or so. Not that hard at all. Just takes time. I have done it before on a friends car.

I guess any one considering the XERD or Crawford headers now knows that it can be done at home by DIY.

You've done headers on another Z already? Where are you located in Ohio? I would like to see how things go.... or even help if you need it. I live in North Ridgeville and I am considering getting headers soon.

ok so these really made a difference, before i had the high flows but man it pulls harder everywhere now. it is much quieter at idle now sounds like stock, but once you floor it is way louder than before. this is definitely a diy job if you know what your doing and have a weekend set aside incase something goes wrong. we did it on jacks in a few hours but its very difficult to get some of the bolts on the head off/on.

Default Xerds

[Powertrip

Installed my Xerds and was wondering how you liked the sound of the Injen exhaust. Also are you experiencing the vibration, raspy noise between 2-3k rpm that others were talking about on another thread.

ive had the raspyness since i put on the testpipes, but it is actually lessened with the headers. really only evident under wot. the injen sounds gorgeous, very deep and loud! power is great i feel it everywhere, i cant even remember what a stock z feels like anymore. i have some vibration but will remedy that by modding the exhaust hangers, its not bad but i dont like it.

Powertrip,

I am pricing the Injen Exhaust now. Where did you purchase yours and what about the price?
Appreciate your input.
