Default I've got the Crawford set.

The only other mod that I had in the engine was an Injen CAI.(No real power improvement there)

Can tell you that there is definately a big improvement over stock. The old but dyno works, since I don't have any in the imediate area. I strongly reccomend the Crawford Headers & Hi-Flows, as for install - it can be done in the garage over a weekend. I don't see a need to pay anyone, except Doug of course, to install them.

As far as the XERDS go - since they eliminate the cats completely, they wouldn't work for guys like me that have to pass the sniffer on occasion. Thought about them, but would have to re-install every time I had to check the car. IMO too much work.

Go for the Crawfords - you'll be glad that you did.

What type of dyno did you use for the testing? Do you have before and after dyno sheets?

We will be testing the B&B (Nismo) headers in the next few weeks so we can compare the results with the Borla headers. Obviously I'll let you guys know how it goes.

What type of warranty is provided with the B&B/Nismo headers?

First of all, I just wanted to thank you guys (again) for helping Borla be the best it can be.

Unfortunately, it's hard to find a distributor who sells the B&B/Nismo headers and especially one who has them in stock.

"Man are those headers pricey! For the money they're charging they'd better come gold plated." Is what one of the major Z distributors told me.

Hopefully we'll locate some soon so we can get to the bottom of this power issue. I'm locating an independent source (either a magazine or a distributor) who will run a verification dyno test for us.

Please give us a chance to find out the truth before everyone starts making false statements. Thanks.

David,

How about contacting Zland & have Sport Z do a special on headers? I'm sure that there are enough options to make it a good shoot out.

I'm a fan of your products - have the true dual & love it. Nice to have another maker on the boards.

Bill

What's wrong with the Xerds? They remove the cats, that's what's wrong. I like lots of power as much as the next guy and I don't mean to sound like a party pooper, but I care about the planet on which I have to live, and I just don't feel it's responsible to drive a street car without cats of some sort.

Looks like I'll be going with Nismo's here soon myself.

Actually, you might want to check on the environmental desirable of cats at all. Yes, they reduce the amount of smog a given car produces, but they decrease gas-mileage and power to such a degree that cars burn a lot more gas than they would have otherwise. That gas has to be drilled for, refined, and trans-shipped. That process produces about as much (actually often slightly more) pollution that the car without them would have.

There have been a couple of studies done on his, but no-one really seems to want to hear it, since it implies that, once again, the EPA jumped the gun on a pollutant, and made things worse (see the DDT fiasco).

yes, have before and after dyno sheets. the dyno was a dynojet 248e chassis dyno. stock run with fan on, after headers, the fan broke after the 2nd run, and i still got some nice #'s

Check it out, with Borla Headers only, it produced 11.5 HP and with Borla Headers & Exhaust, it created 25HP. With Borla exhaust only, it created 23.5HP.

It seems kinda high HP gain just with Borla Exhuast only. 23.5HP is incredable.

Can you drive normally with these on or are they engineered to uesed only for high speed such as on regular visits to the track?
