Question actual gain from nismo intake?

Nismo claims a 5.5hp gain from their intake, just curious if that was an accurate figure. I've read other posts debaiting over power loss and RPM fluctuations from other intakes. The reason I'm asking is I was able to get the Nismo intake uber cheap from my friend up at Nissan, so I decided to get it, instead of the JWT...Sorry if this post is a repeat, I did a search but nothing seemed conclusive. Also would this mod be effective without a technosquare ECU remapping or similar work done? Any Dynoe support? Thanks

I haven't put my Z on the dyno, I would say honestly maybe 1 or 2 hp and 0 to -1 on tq. However, the intake really does what it's ment to at high speeds, I would say the only time you'll see the hp increase near 5 is top speeds.
