Injen will have one - www.injen.com
They have their own in house dyno (dynojet) that they use to test multiple intake setups. They prototyped a VW intake on my car - used three different piping sizes and five filter sizes (Filters are custom designed and spec'd through a partnering with Jackson Racing) for 15 different combinations. They know their stuff quite well - all they do is make intakes.

I would say wait for next year. Since the Z is just come out about one month, even there is a Intake come out. I won't be the best one on the market now. Their always have a 2 gen, 3 gen Intake and each gen will improve more in performance.

yea exactly what night-kids said...
Wait awhile..
The celica injen intakes took 3 times to get it perfect!
Injen sounds the best over all the competition...
I have yet to hear roar inc though... they suppposedly make high power intakes.

I have the JWT. I love the sound and it seems to add a little more power, but that could be in my head. Not to sound like I don't care about money, but it was only $120. If something better comes along in 6 months, I'll just scrap it and sell it on eBay.

yeah... i had a 2000 civic si with an AEM CAIntake. Absolutely loved it. Compliments on the sound. It really sounded nice. It wasnt throaty(probably because it was 1.6 liter) but at VTEC it was loud and nice. It was the intake to get. Nice hp gains too but who knows what an AEM would do for a 350z... I guess we'll have to find out.

What's the highest proven hp gain from any intake, any car? I was always under the impression that intakes increased hp by 10-15 hp max. Typical gains are closer to 3-5 hp correct? I had a Racing Akimoto on my Accord. It sounded nice, but I couldn't tell a difference. It also didn't fit well and vibrated when I put the car in revese. It's now sitting in my closet.
What is the minimum hp gain which really affects 0-60 or quarter mile times? How much hp does it take before you can really tell?

To my knowledge Roar Inc. made an intake that made around 20hp on a bmw...
They tried making one for the celica but they had problems with retarding the ECU correctly.

Well it really depends on the car and type of intake. Your most likely gonna get more hp from a cold air intake rather than a short ram intake. Very much depends on car to. I remember when i had a civic si, any exhaust no matter how expensive that was made for the car would only add 1-3 wheel hp(dynoed hp). Yet, ive seen dyno tests on magazines where supras gained over 20 or 30 whp from an exhaust! I think the same goes for an intake. Although you probably wont see a 30 whp gain from an intake. I bought an AEM CAI(the favorite for that civic) and dynoed i think 6-7 whp more near the top end on vtec.(damn vtec sounds so old now
) Ofcourse that made my 160 hp(at crank) civic into a 172 or so hp civic. Temperature and humidity can affect your hp at the moment. But most importantly i think buying an intake is the first thing you do to a sports car. It lets the car breathe easier, nothing wrong with an intake or nothing to worry about. Very fun to install for novices. You get the point.

Has anyone else had problems with thier 350Z stalling while decelerating with the JWT pop charger. I am considering taking mine off due to the problem. It seems to happen consistently when I am slowing down on the highway, and coasting in neutral.

Frank,
Yes my problem is now back and haunting me. It only happens during highway driving (80MPH) and is a pain! This weekend I drove down to Athens Ga, and I stalled 8 times while slowing down on the highway( 316 is a highway with many stop lights). I might take it out due to this problem. I would hate for this thing to mess up my car.
