do a search on the Mobil 1 issue, some people are saying that Nissan discourages synthetics for the Z, so I went with dino.

Just installed mine yesterday. Not sure I like the sound. Seems to bother my ears. Could be the decibal level or the pitch. Time will tell if I keep it on.

Really, Nissan DISCOURAGES the use of synthetic? Any actual links or documentation on that. Not being a d!ck just want to know.

I thought the general accepted practice was to wait until you have 10K miles before switching to synthetic????

There have been numerous threads on this over the last year or so. You might want to check them out first.

I brought my own Mobil 1 Synthetic 10W30 when I got my oil change at 3,000 miles. The service dept manager said it was "the best" oil I could put in my car. Even if they said I shouldn't use synthetic oils, I still would.
