Default Backfire with aftermarket exhaust?

Installed Nismo catback and RT cats. When downshifting/rev-matching/in between shifts, I get a slight "pop" sometimes. I read on another thread that guys were having backfire with test pipes.

Someone told me "exhaust leak somewhere". Looked for leaks, but none found.

Wondering if anyone else has noticed it afrer exhaust install?

Nothing with my Nismo exhaust, maybe it's the cats??

Good Luck

My car backfires like crazy when I shift but I think its due to the extra fuel I am giving it with the computer. I have the borla but I still have my cats so I can't see the flames... I wouldn't worry about it....

I love that popping sound on overrun, my Nismo exhaust does it when revving at idle, but never upon when engine braking.
Maybe I'll get some of that when my high flow cats and supercharger go on!
