Default Bigger Diff In Sound: Kinetix, Flywheel?

we installed my kinetix plenum and the first thing i noticed was it was a lot louder. i'm pretty much used to it now, but was wonderin if a lightened flywheel would b louder or more noticeable? i know it won't b the same type of sound, but is it as much of a diff? kinda a hard q to answer; sorry.

Unless you are in a high gear at low RPMs, you're not likely to even hear the flywheel at all. At least that's my experience with the JWT.

I thought you would hear them flywheels at low speeds??? So you hear it during highway cruising in 6th gear?

I enjoy the Kinetix sound. Do you hear an unusual noise when you shut the car off? Kinda like thump thump thump going from quick to slow. Best I could guess is it's the sound of the cylinders slowing to a stop. But what do I know.

I only hear the flywheel at very low speeds. If I'm going 5 mph in 3rd gear I'll hear it. It's a reminder to downshift

Trust me the Flywheel was minimal in noise compared to the Kinetix plenum, right now there is so much noise coming from the engine compartment that it is almost getting to me.

I am almost to the point I might take the plenum off to see if the noise level goes down, The noise level is not so much what bothers me but I would rather hear the same noise level coming from the exhaust than from the engine. Might have to look at some sounf insulation on the firewall and hood.

yeah, i wanted to take it off after like 2 days cause of the noise. fortunately, i'm pretty used to it now, and i don't mind it. it's been about a week.

thanks for the replies about the flywheel, guys. if i can get over the plenum, it sounds like the flywheel won't b any problem.
