Since I have had my car when it idles the oil pressure has always been around 30 psi. Well last night I installed the JWT popcharger, everything went in smoothly. I fired the car back up and noticed that at idle the oil pressure shot up to 90 psi. I let the car warm up and it came down a little to probably 65 psi. I was afraid to take the car out but I wanted to test the new filter. I just drove the car around the block and the pressure started to come down to about 40 psi. My question is what does the installation of the popcharger have to do with the oil pressure rising? also is it safe to drive the car when the oil pressure is above 60 psi? will it eventually come back down, is it just the ecu gradually making adjustments to the new part. As you can tell I am new to this stuff.
