Didnt notice to much power with my Kinetix cats, just noise.. I got rid of my cats for certain reasons. ( Also did not notice much power with exhaust or intake either, so my butt dyno may be broken )

However, with just exhaust, intake, high flow cats, I was able to slightly edge out a Z with intake, exhaust, test pipes ( only a one gear pull then the guy let off the gas )

I have no info on pullies.. But my friends Z seems to rev up faster when at a stand still, his car is not finished so I have not taken a ride in it yet.

Once I get my plenum installed I will be going with some crawford high flows. After that I am done with NA mods ( also dont want to compleatly skrew over my warranty ), they just arnt doing enough for me. I will then be concentraiting on exterior/interior work ( lambo doors, racing seats, ect )

I know, that was kind of all jumbled together ( Long night )

Personally I don't think the pullies increase peak horsepower as much as improve response and move the curve so you feel power sooner so you do get a power increase in the mid range but probably not up top, where as the pipes will give you power up top as well, I would probably go with the pullies first.

Kopo:

Heard many people said that you need to give some time for the ECU to adjust itself for your mods, especially the pulley and the cats...... can you be able to keep us updated on your mods in these few days?

thanks in advance!

cheers,

richie

putting RT Cats on cars will make between 8-14 RWHP depending on exhaust and other mods across the RPM range...

putting Crank Pulley on cars will make between 6-8 RWHP depending on mods across the RPM range...

Yes, I am eventually swapping to Crawfords HF Cats once I get some other things squared away with my car. The Kintetix caused me some problems to say the least, but they are sending me a plenum free of charge so all is good.

Once my car is all finished I will post one giant review and pictures of everything done to my car so far. Don't really want to do one at a time.. ( Plus I want a dyno.. intake, plenum, HF cats, exhaust )

I will include what happened with my kinetix cats and so on.

i installed both pulleys (3 pc set) and RT cats in the same week (last week). although i know the ECU needs time to adjust itself, i have to say that the RT cats made a much more noticeable difference in power.
the pulleys did ok but i have to say the cats are more worth it.

also, keep in mind i had the borla td and a CAI so that probably helped get more out of my cats..

On my car, the Crawford cats definitely improve power according to my butt dyno and the real dyno. Pulley gains showed up on the dyno, but was undetectable by my butt dyno.

but do you guys feel faster rev with the pulley??? how do you compare it to, lets say Nismo flywheel's effect (if anyone happens to experience these two mods)?

cheers and thanks!

i got my JWT clutch/flywheel put in about a week before i put my pulleys in. i did notice the car reving up faster but it wasnt as half as much as the flywheel.
its not a huge difference with the pulleys as it is with the flywheel but it IS still noticable and worth it! (to me anyway).. i guess it also depends on how well you know your car and how it revs up.

The flywheel was way more noticeable, well worth it.

It takes the ECU a little bit of time to adjust. I have the crank pulley installed and I definitely noticed a difference.
