Default Kinetix Plenum Question

The search engine still doesn't seem to be functioning, but I think I've read all the threads on the Kinetix Plenum anyway and don't remember these three questions. I just had the plenum installed today and haven't even had a chance to drive more than a couple of blocks with it. The car drives fine and the idle is fine, but there is a definite "whoosh?" (hope that's not too technical a term, but couldn't think of better one) sound when you throw a fast rev off of idle. I would think that if there was a leak, that the idle would be affected so was wondering if the guys here that have this plenum can tell me if this is normal.

The second question is has anyone had TS remap their ECU after the plenum install and notice the difference? I had them do their computer magic after installing a Stillen exhaust and at least the butt dyno said this was well worthwhile. Whether that had to do with different values for the exhaust or just overall, I don't know.

The last question isn't that important but just has me curious. This concerns this plenum's "breathing" that I have read of here. I can understand that being made with a softer compound than the original could allow a certain amount of flex, but wouldn't the flex be of the concave variety? I'm not a rocket scientist, but aren't those little piston thingies creating a vacuum in the intake? Why would the plenum bulge out?

This forum is a fantastic source of information and want to thank all the "regulars" that post here.

I can't really answer your other questions, but what I have herd the "whoosh" is normal. Guess I will find out next week when I get my plenum installed.

The "whoosh", to use your terminology is normal! As far as TS/ECU, you might want to try an "PM" all_bark. Did all the initial testing to include visiting TS. I would imagine the OEM Plenum would expand also if made of a different material. That would be something for Kinetix / Isdunique to address.
