Default Pop Charger + Plenum = 15 HP ???

If the JWT Pop charger is good for 6.5 HP and the Crawford Plenum is good for 9, is it logical to think I will increase by 15 HP if installing both???

No...

Just because mod a gives you x on a stock car...

and mod b gives you y on a stock car...

Doesn't mean x + y = z

More like x(+/-) + y(+/-) = a

Mods can't add up directly... ya follow?

So what do you think A = in this equation?

Yor not going to really get 6.5 HP form the Intake... I notice VERY little, maybe no extra power. Sounds nice though.

Whatever A = equals in the above equation, what would B equal if you added the Borla exhaust?

Pop Charger + Crawford Plenum + Borla Exhaust = B (estimated hp increase)

God I hate math!

These are the only mods I am considering and wondering what I will gain. I know it's not an exact science, just looking for estimates.

So the 6.5 hp increase listed in the popcharger ad's are not accurate?

I would say deffinitly not...

I know there some people on here that think it does, and I remember one person even had a dyno showing it ( I think some people pointed out some other reasons why it showed gains )

The general comments though are that "it sounds awesome!" And most people say they gained little or no power.

I just copied this from one of the ads. They say around 6 or 7. I guess 0 is fairly close to 6 or 7.

What some companys will do is take the lowest baseline and the highest dyno with the new mod, and tell you that is what the gain is. Technically they are not telling a lie..

Borla claimes 20 some odd HP form their exhaust and we all know that is not true.

Are the 9 HP claims for the Crawford Plenum accurate?

The HP claimes for both the Kinetix and Crawford pleums are accurate according to what people on here say.

Can't wait tell next week when I install my plenum so I can find out for myself.

Funny that they advertise a 6-7 RWHP gain rather than gains from the crank... the crank gains would be the one to advertise as HP at the wheels retains a loss percentage from drivetrain loss.

The more mods you add the different the outcome. I think 15 is possible at near redline where the Plenum makes the most power...

can't say i definately feel the difference in Hp now that i have my JWT pop charger but i think anything less than ten is difficult to feel. plus i am still in the babying mode with my Z, i 've gone to only 5200rpm's once or twice in the almost 4 months since i have owned my Z. i haven't dynoed my Z and don't plan on it anytime soon. the 6.5 rhp numbers came from this test

http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/june03/350pop/

yes the site might be sponsored by JWT(among others) but i still feel the test was objective. all cars and testing environments/factors are different so 6.5rwp might not happen on every Z. i don't think these numbers are made up to sell the product.

btw, the JWT pop charger sounds just as good as everybody is saying. can't wait to install my borla TD next week. can't wait to hear the new exhaust note.

Jsn350Z: i have 4400 miles right now. i'll wait till i put synthetic @9000 miles before i really get on it. i really have no reason to get on it anyway, i am not a street racer by any means. oh and thanks for the compliment on the lip mod. i just wanted to keep both and be different at the same time, that is where the idea evolved. just recieved my data systems spoiler today. very high quality product! i test fitted it and it fit like a glove! should be on by next weekend!
