I am the only person I know of that ever had this exhaust, except for RB Motoring.
That PE exhaust looks so cool. Did it sound like the Nismo and did it also come with a Y-pipe? If I was paying street prices (~$800) I would have gotten that for sure. But as I mentioned, I found my Topspeed Pro-1 for $365 brand new on eBay, the 3" version to boot.

Why did you get rid of it?

Default Checking in...

Just wanted to know I've been following the thread, and wanted to thank all of your for the info.

I had looked at the power enterprise previsouly, I may have to look back into that one.

I'm still leaning towards the borla.

Thanks

I sold my Z because I am an idiot.

THe PE didn't come with a Y-pipe, I used Japtrix's Y-pipe, which was a lovely piece. PM westpak if you're interested in that. I paid a lot for the PE system, when it came out, around $1100, but it's down to $750-850 now, which is a really, really good price for it.

I was looking into this system as well, but I can't track down anyone who sells it. I was also trying to find someone that sells Dandy. Maybe try Bulletproof??

Are you saying that you regret replacing your Z with a G35C? I was thinking of doing the same thing.

Also, can you describe the sound of the PE exhaust? Any comparisons to the more popular exhausts out there?

I just heard my Pro-1 from outside the car for the first time today (let a friend drive). I don't know how it could sound any better honestly. For me, it sounded very reminiscent of a motorcycle, and distantly like an 80's F1 car - super exotic with a nice high-frequency component added to the deep bass roar. To say I'm pleased is an understatement.

Alpine,

The Borla is priced nicely on a few sites. I ordered mine last week from http://www.conceptzperformance.com/. Their deal is $719.00 with $1.00 shipping.

I had an Evo in between the two. I was too old for it. it's a good car if you're in HS or in college, but it was too immature for me. If I had it all over again, I'd have probably kept my Z.

I dunno how to describe the PE exhaust... I've attached a ZIP file. The quality is so-so but I think it captures the essence of the sound. This was a 1st-2nd gear pull in front of my friend's house.

Thanks for the video. It does sound very close to stock, which is indeed not a bad thing. I love the looks for sure. I too was between an EVO and a Z, but my wife was the deciding factor on the Z, saying she really didn't want to ride around in the EVO. Women, what do they know?

Sigh, jng1226, I heard you man. I was between EVO and Z, and my gf doesn't want to ride in the EVO too, because she think EVO is butt ugly. You are right, what do they know.

I recently snatched up a Borla TD setup. I seems to be the best system for my purposes. I like the numbers that I saw.....and I got it at cost, so that really made me jump on the deal. Money is a big issue when it comes to picking up mods for my car. I'm having it installed tommorow. I threw in my Injen Intake over the weekend too!!

Yup, as the saying goes: Women, you can't live with them, and you can't kill them

KillaZ, I'm sure you'll love your Borla, I like the looks and sound of those too. I too am currently strapped for mods, and was very fortunate to get the Topspeed Pro 1 on eBay for $365 brand new (!)

Borla TD was installed this morning. I headed for the freeway and stomped on it......WHEW!! Sounds awesome. Has a nice little kick too.

I can't wait to go listen to it some more. I'm pretty damn happy with the sound.

just curious why so many are looking for an installer with the TD borla system? is there anything that needs fabbing to get it installed correctly? ive done several of my own exhaust kits on previous cars from the headers back, did my downpipes back on my zxtt........just curious, dont want any surprises. im aware of the large amount of pieces to put together with the potential leak issue, is this the case? thanx,

-justin
