popcharger replacement filter. WTF?
Noticed on performancenissan.com they are selling just the filter for like $57. In all my years in using popchargers, open air filters etc. ....I've never had to replace them.

Like you, I've never had to replace any air filter element of similar design. Then why have a second air filter?
In the past I've used a second filter be able to immediately change out the dirty filter. This allowed me to keep my car streetable while having plently of time to clean, dry, oil and blot the dirty filter.
I know this procedure not for everyone. If it doesn't work for you... don't do it.
