Default Labree cats vs RT cats....

Had the RT's removed and Labree's installed.... Labree's fit almost perfect...A slight mod on the drivers side heat shield for clearance. Labree's are not as loud as RT's but still loud... Slight rasp still, less than RT's.. Will wait for a bit to break in for final review. The Labree's cats are 2.5" outlet so is a perfect pipe match for my Stillen exhaust... RT's are smaller outlet.. 2.25"

Default Cat to y-pipe gasket size....

Be sure to use 2.5" exhaust gasket's when connecting to a 2.5" y-pipe... Stock gasket's are 2.25" FYI.....

so you do have slight raspiness w/ the labree cats i wonder why people that have labree test pipes w/ resonators claim no raspiness at all? what made you switch from rt's to labree's?

Default My thoughts........

The Labree cats are nice.... quality stuff.... I paid $385 on sale..
Fit....Still fussing a little with drivers side position, I think it is causing some unwanted vibration.. A work in progess... Adjustments to be made soon after a few more heat cycles on cats....

The rasp is still there a little... My thoughts are that Stillen exhaust is very sensitive to high flow cats in general, it does make the most power with a trade off in sound quality with cats..

My Nismo cams, and soon to be delivered Crawford plenum are going in 10 days from now... Hopefully the exhaust tone will change slightly for the better...

The RT cats rasp bad and are causing lean conditions with some cars..... I decided to change...

The moral of the story is if you have Stillen exhaust be prepared to experiment a little to achieve the tone you want....

LaBree work is custom hand made. All welds are exceptional and the work product is professionally done.

Whether it's highflow cats or resonators with testpipes, I don't think there is a better product available.

No, I'm sorry, I don't believe I do. I tried to PM you but your box was full.

Uh, but I have to say, with the Borla TD, the LaBree Testpipes and the JWT Popcharger, it goes like this:

Under 2k, deep, throaty V8 sounds from the Borla TD.

3,500 to 4k, beautiful sounds from the JWT

4k+ the torque is kicking in and nothing but beautiful music.

And, with the LBMS testpipes, all the sounds you get from the Borla and the JWT are amplified somewhere between 50% to 75#%.

I sometimes turn down the music, just so I can hear how good the car sounds.

Wish I had the clips but I hope that gives you some idea.

Stupid question, is that per cat or for both sides?

You have to ask Brent. I can say that he's done group buys for Borlas in the past so my guess would be, yes.
