If you have a V1 and want to upgrade to V3 or it has cracked, I understand they will replace it "free". If you have a V2 and it has
has cracked they will replace it "free". Will they just replace a V2 for a V3? You might want to contact Kinetix. Some of the items that you received on your V1 or V2 will not be replaced, but require movement to the V3. I don't think they will charge you for shipping, but you will have to pay shipping on plenum you return to Kinetix. Most likely, they will send one to you prior to you returning to them. Your "Z" is only down for the time it takes you to make the swap and allowing "thread lok" to set. Again, I would contact Kinetix to confirm what actions they will take. They do have excellent "Customer Service"!

Has anyone done a dyno with K&N/POP Charger & Catback being the baseline?

If so, what was the difference when you added the Kinetix Plenum after having those mods?

Might want to consider contacting Kinetix and exchanging for V3. The difference is substantial. Much stronger, both internal and external. Torque to 6 - 8 ft. pounds. Plastic posts under the plenum have been replaced with aluminum posts approximately 1/2" - 5/8" in diameter. All changes made were positive! Customer Service remains the best!

Yes replacement is free, Luther at Kinetix said he would send me a V3 Monday. By the way you do not have to return V2.

well, u could buy mine, but u wouldn't have a cooling block and probly some of the bolts. they just replace the main piece. it's not like me buyin a new one.

how hard r is the plenum to get off, since the threadlock and stuff is on all the bolts?

two questions:

1. does v3 still has the loud growling sound around 2700-3000rpm?

2. does anyone have pics on the inside of the v3 plenum? I would like to see how they strengthed it..

thanks!

Had the V1. Plan on going FI, so exchanged for a V3. Received on 4/29, but won't install until 5/7 as car is in body shop. Where did it crack? When you compare V1 to V3, big difference in both design, strength and internal/external support.

got mine on, I think it's a V3, i never had 1 or 2. Sounds like demons under my hood! I like it, not sure about HP gains haven't been on a dyno yet. No cracks so far but it definately flexes and sucks in at idle. I thouoght the engine cover would work with these?

I think I'm done waiting for Kinetix to get it right.... I feel really bad for all the people I've been using as guniea pigs - I was hoping the V3 was going to be the answer, but I think it has gotten to the point where it's a crapshoot regardless....

My V3 cracked at the throttle body area. I did NOT over torque it at all. When it cracked I was still just almost able to spint the bolt freely by HAND.

I don't know how to explaine how pissed off I am. I did all that work, then had to just put the stock one back on.

On top of that I have an air leak somewhere on the plenum and I can NOT get rid of it. Also, I can not get the STB back on so my car has to sit all weekend until I can take it to Nissan, and pay out of my pocket to fix everything, just to go back to stock

Grr, everything has been tough latley and this just is not making it easier.

I know kinetix is a great company. When my HF cats cracked they sent me this plenum for free. Now that the plenum cracked, I just hope the honor my wishes and give me a full refund.

Are you positive you have a V3 and how did it crack? The V3 will not have countersunk screws in the top instead it will have a bolt and washer.

By the way sorry fro your problems, it just happens sometimes. Also why did your strut bar not go back on?
Thanks Mike
