Just received Kinetix V.3 plenum
I cant line up the bolt holes for the STB.
Yeah it was v3. Cracked while skrewing in one of the four bolts for the throttle body. It could not have been over torques because the bolt was still simi loose when it happened.

I have had to many headachs with the car and just do not want to deal with it any more.
I already bought HF cats from them which cracked and they sent me this plenum in replacement. Now it has cracked and I would rather just have my money back.
I know they are a great company with great products, but I have the shittiest luck possible and probably just got two fluke items.
As I always say, NOTHING ever works for me the first time. Hell, this is my second Z!

damn jason, that sucks! sorry to hear that. i still haven't received mine, cuz everyone keeps sending the old or cracked ones back for new ones. oh well, the wait continues...........
Guys i just installe dmy v3, looks pretty good. the cracked one loks to have cracked during the install and not during the engine running, so Imo not worried.
!! One thing people are not mentioning here, (im surprised many things arent mentioned at all, is the strut bar. the removal and installation of it is very peculiar. you want to have the strut bar raised up over the plenum and not RESTING on it. I have noticed it has touched the new plenum. You know this because your steering wheerl will be shaking, the the engine vibration will be transfered from pleum to the strut to steering and it will cause a kindof grinding feel all around the car. if you drive it as such, you will *** up the plenum and the car. so be sure to spin the center bolt towards the car until you see the strut raise. !!
kinetix should put something of that into the instructions, otherwise the strut will be riding on tom of the penum and it could be a huge problem.
Im also surprised som many people dont notice their plenum is cracked. DUH, look at your idle, when the car is warmed up it should be steady and not fluctuation. listen to your exhaust, put your face near it and listen for misfires. if there is misfire or if the idle drops a little and the car shakes, you got a leak. Dont drive it and fix it with gasket sealant.
if you think your car idle is normal to fluctuate, then keep on driving it baby, what happens at 650rpm, happens 100 times more at 6500 rpm, and guess what. your suckin in extra air the engine isnt detecting. So your lean. BAD for those people who already have mods such as HF cats and exhaust. You can gaurantee your hurting your engine.

i got my v3 on friday i installed it saturday morning and let it sit for about four hours for the loctite to cure. the center support is structurely sound as long as you go slow and make it hand tight.
i used the cooling block from my cracked v2 . the interior of the plenum had no bumps and they reinfored around the center bolts
with more plastic, the screw supports are larger and stronger one area you must be carefull is the front right bolt to the center
the plastic around the screw overlaps and when i torged it slowly i heard it snap a little but no problem i put a little rvt silcone solved the problem. i went to atlantic city last night and i checked the plenum to day no cracks and the center screws remained tight. the car pulls about the same as the v2 and no matter how hard i pushed her she wanted more. there is a little vibration at the right side of the engine cover due to the minimal flexing during accelaration. i have my engine bay painted and the right side of the engine cover by the srut bar rubbed off a little paint. over all i am very satisfied with the product as some one wrote it sounds like demons are in the engine bay i am also extremely satisfied with the customer service i received from the people at kinetix especially robert. this is my third plenum one comment i might make is to put with the instructions is a definitive number on torque for the bolts around the plenum so to prevent over torquing. i will try to post some pic of the install soon
