I've go a 2003 350Z NA and have had Stillen race pipes for about 10,000KM. My light came on a little after installing the pipes. Everytime I do an oil change the light goes out for about 3000KM then comes back on. It depends on how agressive I drive in that period which in turn affects the time it take for the SES lifht to come back on. I suspect this is related to fouling of the oil. I've seen this 555 timer simulator before, and wasen't shour if it would work for our 350Zs. Now that you've proven this to work I'll try it myself. Thacks for the info everyone.

PS. If some peoples SES lights are not coming on after removing the O2 sensors something must be wrong about your ECUs or extremly right about your engines. Maybe your cars are burning gass very efficiantly and/or very little oil. My car burns more oil the more aggessive I drive. I'm testing two therorys, I've decided to drive very mildly for the next oil change duration reducing my RPM/Oil PSI to see how much this affects my oil consumption and O2 SES indication.

Please order this ecu tranquilizer! We need enough orders to make it worth his while; he has to go and get the parts, and then put them together.

I have an 04 G35 coupe and my light came on shortly after installing my pipes. Just currious to see if everyone that said their light did not turn on have 2003's......Wondering if it might have something to do with the ULEV2 ECU?????

I have an 03 Z and my light came on after installing my pipes. This is what should happen when there is no cat to clean the exhaust gasses. Maybe the sensitivity of each car is a little different, maybe the gas burning efficiency of each car is a little different, maybe the oil consuption of each car is a little different, but the light should come on if there is no cat.....period. I just built an O2 sensor simulator, build one or get one, it works.

By the way my light goes out after each oil change. ie. clean oil...........cleaner exhaust gasses. It came on again after a few thousand kms. The last time I've changed my oil and it hasen't come on yet, I've reduced my agressive driving to see how long it will take to come back on. (I've disconnected the simulator)

So does the o2 sim work or not??? You say the light turns on and off. Was this before the o2 sims?

Im pretty sure only those with 2004.5+ ECU's will trip the CEL light with test pipes. i know plenty of 03's with test pipes that have not thrown any lights yet.

Does anybody have a pic of these simulators themselves? I would like to try and build this myself and would like a pic to base this off of.

It works great, It was before the sim that the SES light would come after a while and go off after a fresh oil change, but I've disconnected the sim to see if my driving style has an effect on the duration ( and oil consumption) for which the SES light would stay off.

I'm not aware of the CEL light but I knowk for sure my SES light came on after installing my pipes and goes off after a fresh oil change, and will stay off if I use my SIM.

If you mean the SIS? If it ( the ECU) requiring the same oscillating signal it should work. I'd just try it, it can't hurt, and if doesn't work you've only spent like 20 bucks
