Default CATS: Labree or RT. new topic

Ok you car proficient guys. lemme throw you a question:
which is better if $$$ or sound is not an issue, the Labree of RT high flow cats?

Labree: 2.5 inch pipe diameter, which is the same as my stillen, but has no bench flows and is not very popular so far.

RT: 2.25 inch pipe diameter, which is a tad smaller than aftermarket exhausts, but has proven in bench flow tests to be the best flowing cats(among RT, kinetix, and crawford).

what do you guys think?

i am going with the crawfords....i have had rt's on another car and they didn't last a year....i have seen some blown on the z's and some complain of raspiness...and some others with no probs

the crawford's flow second best to the rt's but seem to be of better quality...don't know much about the labree....just my .02...good luck with your decision...rw...out

Ultimate uses a Carsound cat as well. All mandrel bent, full stainless steel, and havea 5 year warranty.

Info is here on our site: http://z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model...ust&prodid=580

they are marginally louder than stock, but the peformance is outstanding....as is the fit and finish.

Thank you Z1 for your information. However, if you guys also use a carsound core and use 2.25 inch pipe diameter, then your product is basically the same as the Kinetix one. Please do not take offense, but that is what the facts are. Since this is the case, i believe most consumers would be more inclined to purchase the Kinetix cats as they are about 50 dollars cheaper. if you guys can work the price, perhaps that would be the deciding factor.

I went with the Labree's because their 2.5" stainless piping with 2.5" car sound cats. Just like my Stillen exhaust.

One of my first upgrades was the Kinetix test pipes. I chose those over other brands because they had smaller diameter piping (2.25" as opposed to 2.5"). The larger 2.5" piping will decrease exhaust velocity and therefore cause a larger loss in low end torque. So, given the choices you listed, I would opt for the RT cats.
