Default exhaust combos

Hey guys, i'm kinda tite on budget and wanna do my exhaust system, and i heard that putting a y pipe would be better than buying a true dual exhaust. heres what im thinking

DC Headers
Helix Test Pipes
Jic Y-pipe
with stock exhaust

Will sound be louder? and deeper? Around how much Hp would i gain? I also have th Injen cold air

Or should i buy a injen true dual straight tip with test pipes, no headers. which do you think would get more hp, and torque. Thanks.

I would save on the headers and spend it on a straight pipe if not a whole exhaust.

I would also get test pipes with resopnators as without them they will sound very raspy.

With an NA car the y-pipe route seems to yield the same as the duals, I think the duals are better if you go with FI.

You will definately gain more going with headers, test pipes and y-pipe than just test pipes and dual exhaust. I would also get the test pipes with resonators unless you do not have an issue with a raspy sound. To some its not a big deal and to others its the end of the world. One thing to think about is that for the cost of some of the y-pipes you could save a little more money and end up with a true dual. You can find used ones reasonble and/or some good deals on the Borla now and then. You will see good gains with just the headers and test pipes with the rest of the exhaust installed at a later date. There are also some cheaper single pipe exhausts that can be had for a reasonable price later on, if you do go with a y-pipe, that are only from the y-pipe back and not true catback exhausts, that is another option.

One other thing, if you don't have a plenum yet I would recommed that before any exhaust mods. The plenum will help that car continue to climb up to redline instead of starting to fade as it does in stock form.

That would be a good set up but personally I would put on a Greddy muffler... not only for different look.. but atleast a 20 lbs weight reduction!

In stock... PM me for special shipped price.... also DC ceramic and stainless headers in stock PM for special price too...
