Question Exhaust Sound

What would increase the overall sound of the exhaust system, the Y-pipe or the Cats??? I have the Fujitsubo exhaust and DC headers and the sound is still a LITTLE louder than stock even at WOT.

the cats will definitely make the exhaust louder if that's what you want.

intake, exh, plenum, cats (or none), headers, cams, basically anything that changes the amount of air coming in or out will change the tone in someway. the biggest diffs will be from the exh side though

in your case, the cats then ypipe.

I find intake and cam stuff changes the sound, but doesnt really make it any louder.

With your mods, the Cats and Y-pipe will make a huge difference! Once you get the very high flow it is common to get buzzing resonace noises although. But, your car will roar at high RPMs. The Cats tend to make your car run somewhat lean in the mid RPM range. With all the mods completed, an ECU flash from Technosquare will "pull" all the mods together and make it rip. Test pipes with resonater might be an option, I don't know what the smog laws are like in Nevada.

cats without changing the Y-Pipe wont increase sound that much...

but changing the Y-Pipe will really change the sound plus performance... the stock y-pipe is junk... very restrictive... just like the stock cats!
