Brian LG35c - I replied to this PM yesterday.

As for flow numbers, we have not had them tested. I'll see what can be done, though cannot make any promises there

Took the plunge and ordered the Ultimate Racing Cats. Can't wait to see what the car feels like after these are installed.

We do have piggyback cats on our car, they are paired together with the main cats, all of the replacements cats replace the piggy back and main cat with just a main cat. Someone needs to do a flowbench test on ultimates cats (carsound) and crawford cats (walker)

The manufacturers should already have these test done. If they don't than think about there knowledge in making these units. Crawford and Ultimate both do not make there own cats, unlike Random Tech cats. Don't purchase anything from what you hear on the forums, alot of the people on here arent good people, trying to con a man for there hard earned money. I know for a fact both those units do not outflow the RT Cats. There is a problem coming up with a few cars saying they've been blowing these cats. If it was me, i'd go helix straight pipes. If you want a cat get the RT. AFOAF has a RT with stock exhaust and there is no rasp.

have you read the recent failure reports on the RT? this is not the first car RT has had issues with (hence why we stopped selling their stuff 2 years ago).

We have sold hundreds of the Ultimate cats for Evo's and many for the Zs so far, and not one single failure or fitment issue.

Whether it ouflows it or not is not really an issue in my book. If they give up 10-15 cfm's in favor of a longer lifespan and trouble free usage, I know I for one would make that purchase.

Straight pipes are great, but not an option for everyone in terms of noise, sound quality (subjective based on the person), and most important, emissions.

At some point we'll try and get a flow bench test done for the UR ones

who IS this guy? anyways, if you hear one person's experience, you kind of listen but dont take is as a fact. When you start to see a trend, then that is when you gotta pay attention.

about the raspiness of the rt on a stock exhaust, i dont know. but my friend wakaz had the nismo exhaust with the rt's and it WAS raspy... which is no longer the case with his ultimate cats. take it or leave it, mac. not trying to make you waste your money, it is just what i observed.

Default thanks gary

mac has his own opinion. Seems to me that mac is a little younger than a lot of us. I mentioned that I have no connection with Adam or anyone at Z-1 or Ultimate Racing. I have been racing cars (big block Chevy's) and bikes (GSXR 750's and 1100's) starting in 1980. I think I would be able to tell some difference in swapping out different parts. I also do all my own work and installs.

As far as experience on the Ultimate Racing Cats, no problems so far, got about 300 miles on them now. Sound is still the same, very mellow sounding, no rasp at all in low to mid RPM's. Sounds kinda like stock but when you get on it, you can really tell the difference...sounds very sweet!!! Not the ricey farty sound that I had before at 2500 to 3500 RPM.

All the talk about flow an stuff, anyway you look at it, the R/T's will flow just about as freely as test pipes. The other cats will not flow as well but will flow better than stock. Most people won't be able to tell that much of a difference between the two, except for sound. Slight gain on top at most.

Ultimate, Crawford, Kinetx, R/T, might be something for you to decide. I'm glad I went with the Utimate's!!!
