I think the heat shield is usually the problem. Most peple do as you did and just bend it back so it doesn't touch.

Did you install them yourself? If so, how hard was it? I've got some Helix Test pipes and some RT cats just sitting here. I haven't decided which to install yet. I'm not sure if I want to try and install them myslelf or just get a shop to do it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ian

I did my kinetix cats on ramps-- It was no doubt more of a bastard than I was anticipating. I'm fairly handy with tools and do a lot of work on my car myself, and I was still a bit challenged---- It was just the space available versus bad angles versus crappy universal joints, etc. All in all it took me a few hours- my existing bolts were quite rusted (damn NE winters) and I had a bad universal joint---- If doing the job yourself, make certain you have enough socket extenders, universal joints and beer for the aches and pains when your done!!
Good Luck

the install wasnt all that bad. I did it in about an hour. The only problem i had was finding an extention long enough to get to two of the bolts. I had to pop the hood and loosen it from the top. Now if i can only get rid of the unwanted noise i will be happy.
