Default Crawford strut BAR, will it clear GReddy intake?

GQ_626 posed this question in another thread, and I have been wondering about the same thing. I feel like the Crawford plenum would be a sensible safety upgrade, given the problems with #'s 5 & 6 cylinders. Has anyone installed the Crawford strut bar with a GReddy kit or contacted Crawford to inquire about fitment issues with the intake tube?

Have e-mailed a pic of the intake section near the OEM strut bar to Crawford for them to scrutinize. Will advise on thier reply.

Yes, I am dying to know as well.

Based on some photos I saw, and referencing the location of the dipstick, it looks like it won't fit.

I'm waiting for a call back from Doug. For the benifit of the group, I might just buy both the plenum and the strut bar and see if it fits.

I don't believe it will fit either, but I want that plenum. Modifications to the strut bar may be necessary, but I don't necessarily want to be the guinea pig to test it out at high speed.

Maybe someone else is working on a plenum that will address the #5 & 6 cylinder issue and not require removal of the OEM strut bar. (RASE creations comes to mind...Ares, you listening??)

I am going Crawford even if I have to ditch the strut bar. This lean 5-6 cylinder thing is creeping me out, especially given JoeNismo's rod snap at 6.6psi. The benifits of the bar are inconclusive, since half the people say it provides improved cornering, the other half say it doesnt.

But it would be great to keep a bar of some kind in place!

I read a comment somewhere that they loosened the bolts attaching the bar and drove around.

They definately heard noises from the strut bar shifting from side to side while cornering. Proof to me that it does stiffin the frame.
