Default Anyone smooth out underside welds of Crawford Plenum?

My Crawford plenum has some pretty nasty looking welds underneath and I was wondering if anyone out there has smoothed them out, and if anyone thought it would make a difference?

it was discussed before and the concensus was that it wasn't major enough to affect airflow.

just leave it. it'll be fine.

i thought of cleaning up the roughness of the intake manifold surfaces but that was also downplayed as it wouldn't create enough differance.

Thumbs up

I just did it.. Some of those welds were really horendous. I smoothed out every nook and cranny I could find. Regardless of wether it makes a difference or not, in my head it makes a huge difference! I cleaned the hell out of my throttle body while I was in there too. I took it for a few 1/4 mile runs down the highway and I really do feel a difference. 90% from cleaning a dirty TB I'm sure.

Yeah... the one I run, prototype #002 was completely smoothed out on the inside.

Made zero difference on the dyno vs. a Version 5.

btw Tfasano... time to add Crawford Plenum to that mod list of yours. You have the wrong one listed! You seem to keep it pretty updated, chop chop!
