I just installed the JWT pop charger and the heat shield was a b*tch just like everyone said. Its hot as hell outside when I was doing the install so I just left it out for now. I know I have read alot of you did the same.

Did you have any problems? Do you think it makes much difference with or without it? I drove a few miles to test and popped the hood when I got back and it was really warm but I guess thats normal. Also how many miles until you need to replace the filter or do you just clean it?

 

The shield was easy, the two small screws for the intake duct...PITA! I just used some 3M double sided tape so far it's held up.

As for how long till it needs cleaned, maybe 10,000-15,000 mi. Depends on the conditions where you live.
